Recycling Efforts

Approximately 75% of Meramec's waste is recycled. We recycle scrap polyurethane, metal, batteries, electronics, paper, and plastics. Even our coffee grounds are used for compost!

Partnership with Systech Environmental Corp.

To maximize our recycling efforts, we partner with organizations like Systech Environmental Corp. Most of our waste is shipped to Systech's cement factory, where it is used in their kiln as a coal substitute. One ton of our waste replaces 1.1 tons of coal. Since partnering with Systech, Meramec is able to recycle 99% of our polyurethane waste.
